Strip me from the pain of my past Lord. Strip me from the hurt people have done to me. Strip me from the hurt I’ve done to people. Strip me from disappointment. Strip me from the shame. Strip me from guilt. Strip me from insecurities. Strip me from fear. Strip me from distractions. Strip me from wanting temporary. Strip me from discouragement. Renew me Lord. Restore me. Revise me. Restart me. Rebirth me. Redeem me. If it doesn’t please you Lord I don’t want any part of it. I surrender.
I remember a time when I would take a picture of myself and would send it to my friends for conformation. I remember a time when I would ask the question “Am I ugly”? I remember a time when I would do things so ridiculous for a guy’s validation for a spot in his life. I remember… As women we often struggle or have struggled with some form of insecurity. Rather it’s a physical appearance, stability in a relationship, money or even your career. We always seem to look for validation of who we are from someone else. We find ourselves thinking that clothes, hairstyles, make-up, a man, money, etc. will hide our insecurities but in all honesty it doesn’t. In 1 Peter 3:3-4 it says, “ Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight”. Once I surrendered my life to God, my insecurities surrendered as well. I began to learn more about God. I began to learn me. I began to love the woman God created me to be. I began to love the woman God was transforming me to be. I began to validate who I was. I was no longer concerned about what others thought of me but what I thought about myself. Love you for you. You are a queen and you should value that. God designed you to be you. He took His time creating the magnificent and loving women you are today. Take your time and get to know God. When you learn God, you begin to learn yourself. When you learn yourself, you build your confidence. When you build your confidence, you let go of your insecurities. When you let go of your insecurities, God will crown you. When God crowns you, you will ready. Ready to conquer what life throws at you. Embrace who you are. Embrace your flaws. Embrace the position God has you in right now. Embrace where God is taking you. Insecurity means the lack of confidence. With God, there is no lack of. Love yourself Queen!
What’s your purpose in rushing? Do you not respect my morals? Do you not respect my wishes? Do you not respect that I’m a queen? What’s your purpose in rushing? You want to rush me in bed for what? For your pleasure? For my pleasure? Do you not think that I am valuable? What’s your purpose in rushing? Are you in a rush to add me to the list of the other women you’ve been with? Are you in a rush to brag to your homeboys that you finally got me? What’s your purpose in rushing? Is it because you claim you love you? Is it because you claim you don’t want to spend your life without me? What’s your purpose in rushing? Why can’t we wait? Why can’t you learn me for me? Why can’t you take me out for a nice dinner instead of asking me to come over to your house? What’s your purpose in rushing? Why do you have to spit game? What can’t you be honest with me? Do you not respect my morals? Do you not respect my wishes? Do you not respect that I’m a queen? What’s your purpose in rushing?
Ever find yourself thinking so negative about life itself? Saying things like “It’s no point, nothing good is going to happen anyway” or “nothing good ever happens to me”. All those negative thoughts is exactly how the devil wants us to think. Satan can’t come into our hearts because he knows our souls belongs to God, so he uses our minds to corrupt us! It’s easy to fall into the mindset of what the world has to offer. Worldly desires leaves us feeling lost, confused, disappointed & thinking negative. Thinking negative will only get you negative. Thinking negative causes you to worry, doubt, stress & discourage yourself. Romans 12:21 says “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” By us serving the God that we serve, negativity shouldn’t even be in your minds. God is a God of all things. He encourages us. When having faith in God, you will be able to replace the negative with the positive. Not only will your thoughts be transformed into positive thoughts but your actions will become positive too. Do the opposite of what Satan wants you to do. Remind him how Mighty God is. Remind him how powerful God is. Understand how strong you are. Clean out the negativity in your closet & begin to fill it with Gods love, faith, trust, & confidence. God is able & when you change your mindset you will begin to live a happier negative free life.
How can you pray for God to bless you with new opportunities and you’re not preparing yourself to receive them? For example you want God to bless you with a new job but you’re not making the steps to apply for new job. Or you want God to bless you with a man of God but you’re not grooming yourself to be a woman of God. How can we pray for a blessing but we don’t want to make the changes needed to receive these blessings?! We have to be willing to make those significant changes in ourselves. Changes that will benefit us once we receive the blessing from God. Changes that will make us better. Changes that will be pleasing to God. By changing yourself, you are agreeing to meeting God halfway. Allow God to transform you. I don’t know about you but I want my blessings! I want to prepare myself for the blessings coming my way. I want to be transformed. We have to strive to become better in order to receive better. God promises are awaiting but are you willing to change? Are you preparing yourself to be better? You know that famous saying “If you stay ready, you don’t have to get ready” Get Ready NOW! Get ready for what God is about to deliver!
For every set back in your life, God is preparing you for the greatest comeback. You have to put your full trust in His doings. Yes, I know it’s hard to fully trust in God, especially when you’re still dealing with the setback. It may seem like I have it all together but I must be honest, discouragement is one of my weaknesses. At times I mostly battle with discouragement when I am closely approaching my breakthrough. When approaching your breakthrough, Satan will begin to blind-side you with discouragement and distractions. He will begin to attack you with things you’re good at. Satan knows he is running out of out. He will use any and everyone to keep you from reaching what God has in store for you. When this is occurring, grab your armor of God and your biggest weapon (prayer) and win your race. God uses his strongest soldiers to fight the toughest battles. Instead of asking God “why me?” ask Him “what do you want me to learn Lord?” God is providing you with the wisdom you need to win your race. Continue to Pray daily. Encourage yourself daily. Read daily. Surround yourself with positive people. Remind Satan you have a race to win. Remind Satan you serve an amazing God and that He is the only one who has the last say so. Do everything to keep Satan away. God is grooming you. He is protecting you from the enemy. God is strengthening you. Remember Philippians 4:13 “I can handle whatever comes my way today through Christ who is my strength”. God is preparing you for your victory trophy. Your breakthrough is near. You’ve come too far to quit now. Remember God is not limited. If He brought you to it then He will bring you through it.
